Venionaire Investment is currently raising a Venture Capital Fund with core focus on A and B rounds in Europe.

We will invest in scalable technologies and business models that show disruptive potential out of the technology transfer from old to new economy. In particular this relates to high-tech companies, which can be exited through a buy-back, M&A or an IPO. Our aim is to provide companies with the capacity to grow globally. Therefore, most of our investments will be A and B rounds, meaning that companies already have a product on the market or have even built a customer base.

Technology is Key

Rigid innovative engineering is the key competence we are looking for in every high-tech focused company. In order to decide upon technology investments we need to see growth potential when applying them to markets. Technologies that fulfil our requirements are scientific computing (security and big data), connectivity (IoT, smart city, smart home), robotics (automotive, home automation), material science (supply industry, batteries) and automation (M2M, smart industry).

Our Expertise

Venionaire converts innovation into solid exit values. Our management team has vast experience in exit preparation and execution of portfolio companies and already led numerous exits (total valuation > EUR 5 billion). With our entrepreneurial spirit we built a reliable network across industries and are able to link later-stage-companies to Private Equity and Secondary Funds. Through our partners such as universities, accelerators, angel groups, and early-stage funds we are also able to maintain a high quality deal flow.

Venture Fund Structure

While the management team is based in Vienna, Austria, we are placing a Venture Capital Fund (SICAV-SIF) in Luxembourg with a fund size of EUR 100 million. This term-fund will have an investment period of 3 years (+2 years) and a total fund lifecycle of 8 years (+2 years). 90% of our future portfolio companies will be headquartered in the EU (mainly Germany and Austria) and 10% in the rest of the world (mainly Switzerland). Typical deal sizes will range from EUR 0.5 million to EUR 5 million, focusing on high-tech.

We believe that the management team of a venture capital fund needs three types of partners – entrepreneurs, investment professionals and those who know both worlds. We managed to bring the “entrepreneurial-to-the-core” spirit and finance professionals together. Thus, our team consists of leading growth capital experts and serial entrepreneurs, giving us the ability to exit deals in Europe and the U.S.
