KISAB Mandates Venionaire Capital to Structure Nine-Figure Private Equity Transaction
The current financing round, supported by Venionaire Capital AG, is aimed at growth private equity investors and strategic investors, while KISAB continues to expand production capacity for its BPD-free 8-inch SiC wafer platform.
Vienna/Stockholm, May 28, 2026 – Vienna-based Venionaire has been commissioned by Kiselkarbid i Stockholm AB (“KISAB”) to structure and support the company’s next financing round. The mandate includes investor relations, investor communications, and strategic preparation for the financing, with a focus on growth-oriented private equity and strategic investors. The goal is to raise a total of more than 100 million euros, with a majority acquisition by an investor also being an option.
KISAB is a Sweden-based silicon carbide semiconductor materials company specializing in advanced SiC substrates for applications in e-mobility, power grid expansion, and industrial electronics. Among other things, the focus is on 8-inch BPD-free n-type silicon carbide wafers, as the 8-inch platform represents an important technological step for next-generation high-performance power electronics.
KISAB has previously raised approximately 24 million euros in several funding rounds. Publicly named investors include Fairpoint Capital, Industrifonden, Ingka GreenTech, and LPE. Venionaire will now support the company in refining its equity story, structuring investor dialogue, and positioning opportunities for the next phase of growth, which involves significantly larger production facilities, as demand for KISAB’s high-quality silicon carbide wafers is rising dramatically.
KISAB became aware of Venionaire following a visit by Venionaire CEO Berthold Baurek-Karlic to Phoenix, Arizona, where he gave a presentation to the International Trade Committee of the Arizona House of Representatives, among other engagements.
“We are delighted to support one of Europe’s most promising companies on its journey as a partner. While it may seem somewhat paradoxical that two European companies are coming together via the U.S., it also demonstrates that pan-European cooperation is more important than ever. It is a necessity if we want to keep pace with the U.S. as an economic region,” said Berthold Baurek-Karlic, CEO of Venionaire Capital AG, regarding the new collaboration.
Investors and strategic partners who would like to learn more about KISAB and the upcoming funding round are invited to contact Venionaire Capital directly.
