Linde Verlag founds digital subsidiary
Linde Verlag is tackling the future with a new subsidiary: The publishing house will hereafter bundle all of its digital activities in Linde Digital GmbH.
In addition to established in-house solutions, the company will focus on more intense cooperation with start-ups for the core target group of tax consultants, lawyers and notaries. In the future Linde Digital GmbH will increasingly make strategic participations, which also may include subsequent acquisitions.
“Digitization does not only bring new technologies. It also creates new opportunities to drive successful advancement in the areas of tax, business and law, emphasized Mag. Klaus Kornherr, Managing Director of Linde Verlag.”
HEADING FOR THE FUTURE WITH VENIONAIRE CAPITAL
Linde Digital GmbH will be the strategic vehicle for Linde Verlag for developing new digital business models and expanding the publisher’s digital competencies in a targeted manner. The new established daughter company will implement new ideas and test digital concepts and solutions. The aim is simplifying everyday’s work for those working in the legal sector. Linde Verlag is already very successful with a leading legal database that is well established on the market. They also feel great demand for the digitization of its in-house educational solutions, for secure storage and exchange of critical data and documents.
“Cooperation with promising start-ups is crucial for us. We already have an indirect stake in Blockpit AG and the digital signature provider Sproof.io via a Venionaire fund. Deepening the partnership with Venionaire in order to make strategically important investments directly was the logical next step,” adds Benjamin Jentzsch, Managing Director and owner of Linde Verlag and Linde Digital GmbH.
“With Venionaire Capital investing in Linde Digital GmbH, we are building a bridge from traditional specialist publishers to start-ups. The idea is to use this approach to make value-added contributions to the digitization of the publishing industry and to actively help shape the future.”
LONG-ESTABLISHED COMPANY WITH DIGITAL DRIVE
“We look forward to supporting a successful family business like Linde Verlag in its digital transformation, we really appreciate the trust placed in us and we take on the responsible entrepreneurial task with full vigour,” explains Venionaire Capital Founder and Managing Partner (CEO) Berthold Baurek-Karlic.
Linde Digital GmbH aims to acquire other companies and brands and thus expand the publishing house’s digital range and to contribute shaping market activity, especially in the area of legal publishing in German-speaking countries. The team around Benjamin Jentzsch, who is now the third generation to run the company, not only relies on the in-depth know-how of Venionaire Capital as an expert in the areas of innovation and high-tech. With Berthold Baurek-Karlic as Head of Digital Transformation they have a visionary digital native and full-blooded entrepreneur on board.
